Jesse Calloway writes the pages on this site about live blackjack, slot certification, the myths that grow around themed games, and the documented psychology of a gambling session.

He is a byline for this site and holds no position with any casino operator. Earlier versions of this page said he studies live dealer performance data at Gunsbet, works directly with game providers and consults on the operator’s responsible-play features. None of that was true and it has been removed.

His pages were rewritten in October 2026. The largest change is on the blackjack page, which used to price card counting in live online games at +2.8 % to +4.1 % — a figure that was invented and advice that risks a voided withdrawal.

What Jesse writes about

  • Which blackjack table rules actually move the house edge, and which «tells» cannot encode anything at all.
  • What slot certification tests, and why an undisclosed payout rule would be a failed audit rather than a feature.
  • Reporting what the near-miss research supports, and naming the gap where it supports nothing.
